BURR OAK WOODS

  • Key features + Notes: This has become quite a popular location, and currently, the big tall pine trees everyone obsesses over still exist — HOWEVER please note that in 2020, the park may be removing these pine trees due to liability issues. Beyond that area of the park, there is another treed field which depending on the season can have yellow wildflowers, otherwise good tall grass. In late fall there can be the tall foxtail grass. There is a wooden bridge on one of the hiking trails, directly off of a parking lot. Even if in time the pine trees are removed, this park is still big enough and diverse enough to be used for your photos and still result in good variety! **NO PETS ALLOWED

  • Parking: Multiple parking lots to go from spot to spot and do photos — absolutely no parking on the grass can happen or any areas marked as no parking.

  • Restrooms: Most parking lots have your typical “park-like restroom” with one stall and a locking gate/door.
