Eagles Landing at Lake Olathe
Key features + Notes: Pretty large park with a lot of areas featuring trees, fields and lakes / water features. A small rock-lined creek is available, but it is also meant to be played in by kids and is set up near a playground — so typically, on a warm day, there will be kids there in it. A small man-made waterfall exists, but if you have a sunny day, it unfortunately faces the sun and is less than ideal for photos — an overcast day, it could look nice. The huge smooth tree in the photos below that is laying on the ground appears to be a permanent feature and can be sat on/climbed on etc. The black iron tunnel thing pictured is typically covered in vines year round — varying from greens to browns, and in the Fall can have gourds hanging from the vines themselves (note that the gourds can make the tunnel impassable to walk through for photos). A few field areas are wild as seen below, and can vary between tall grasses, wildflowers, etc.
Parking: Multiple parking lots to go from spot to spot and do photos — some lots are concrete/normal parking spaces, others are just a small gravel spot off of the main road through the park.
Restrooms: The main venue/building has restrooms, however when they are available and unlocked — isn’t something I’m certain of! They may have typical park-style restroom buildings in other areas of the park as well!
