Sailboat Cove at Smithville Lake
Key features + Notes: Smithville Lake itself is a massive property. This special nook — Sailboat Cove, is really pretty all on its own and plenty big enough for a variety in photos. Just off of the parking lot is a paved path that leads into a wooded area — lots of fields, tall grass, trees, etc. The sailboat cove itself is rocky and generally has various boats of sizes and colors, plus a couple of docks. On the other side of the parking lot is the “beach” area, a beautifully sandy beach right up against the water that makes photos look as if we aren’t in Missouri at all! The sun sets SO beautifully on this side!! **For this location, spring and fall are ideal due to sunset times, summer is doable, we just may need to plan for a later session to accomodate the sun setting over the water!
Parking: A huge parking lot is available.
Restrooms: A couple of standard, park type restroom units are available.
