SHAWNEE INDIAN MISSION // TREE FARM

  • Key features + Notes: Starting each year the week before Thanksgiving, this unique little historical site doubles as a small Christmas tree farm. This is a public location and is not primarily used for Christmas trees but those are there until they sell out each holiday season. Aside from Christmas trees, the historical site itself has a few big brick buildings that make for good backdrops, and a somewhat big area of maintained grass, a couple wooden bridges etc. I haven’t been here when the Christmas trees aren’t in, but the property is diverse enough that this could definitely be used during non-Xmas-tree time!
