Outside, farm animals such as peacocks and guinea-fowls serenaded the spaces while the warm April sun beamed and the cool April breeze blew. Inside, upstairs in that rustic old barn, Megan and Shawn were simply a short hallway apart. Behind closed doors, they both got ready for their big day. It was obvious from the start that both of them had their minds elsewhere, on what was to come no doubt. They wrote and passed letters to one another between those 2 closed doors, finding ways to communicate, be each others rock.

Then, it was time. Shawn stood waiting outside while Megan came out for him to see her, and for her to see him, for the first time that day. From the second Shawn turned around - it was as if someone flipped a switch that can never be flipped back down - the smiles on both their faces began and didn't so much as even start to fade for the rest of the day!

Soon after that first look, they tied the knot - standing in front of those they cherish the most, inside a barn rich with history, Megan and Shawn connected a new piece of their history together.

These two are more than lovebirds, more than a guy and a girl in love, more than the new husband+wife...they are best friends. The core of their foundation is set in friendship that runs so deeply that just being together results in smiles that can't possibly fade, joy that can practically be felt, and love that could move mountains.
