A Romantic Wedding with Black, Pewter and Green at Willow Creek // Samantha + Derek
No bride really wants rain on her wedding day, no bride really expects not only rain but freezing rain and really cold temps, with breezy/chilly winds either! But alas, that’s what Samantha’s big day looked like. While it might not have been her plan, and while it may have resulted in her outdoor ceremony being moved indoors…the adventure of it all, the point of it all, the magic of it all…and the end result of it all was still the same.
Samantha had wanted to share a first look with her sweet Dad, and when they had their moment, he said it all just perfectly — today was simply the close of one chapter (her as his little girl) to the start of a new chapter (her as Derek’s wife). And this wedding day of theirs had a lot of chapters within it, like that unexpected and unwanted freezing rain and cold temps. The chapter of exchanging letters from different hotel room floors and crying while reading them. The chapter of how all the things came together, the plans, the people, the vows and the promises. Definitely a chapter of how they nearly froze outside for photos, and yet focused on loving one another instead of the cold. And ultimately, the best chapter of all detailing how Samantha and Derek tied the knot, said we do and we will, always - and became the new Mr. & Mrs.
So very happy for these two here!
