Downtown Kansas City Engagement Session | Elizabeth & Dane
Elizabeth is one of those people that even through email - you know you're going to love her. She is so incredibly kind and such a genuine person, and I couldn't wait to meet her and Dane! Their situation panned out a bit differently for me, as not only did they want to meet and chat about their wedding...but they wanted to also do their engagement photos the same day!
We inadvertently picked what was the most chilly morning Downtown Kansas City had this season; but it didn't hinder us in the least! In fact, Elizabeth and I both think it worked to our advantage. We discovered when you're that cold, pretty much all you can do is laugh about it! And laughter photographs so well - especially laughter from these two lovelies!!
I absolutely loved working with these guys, and learning about them as a couple. Finding out how Dane proposed, and the fact that the ring on Elizabeth's finger belonged to her grandmother, such a sweet story! Elizabeth and Dane are wonderful, caring and so great to be around! I can't wait for their wedding next September!
The areas of downtown KC that we explored were perfect for that urban feel - not to mention the photos we took inside Dane's loft! I mean seriously, wait until you see the incredible slap-up chalkboard that Elizabeth did, and the lettering she did, by hand!! Okay enough story time, photo time now!
Elizabeth & Dane - I honestly can't thank you guys enough, you both reminded me how insanely lucky I am - to be able to work with such great people. Enjoy your engagement photos!

In between shots, Elizabeth would slip back into this coat - and do a "get-warm-dance". One of the most hilarious things I've ever seen lol She's the best!

Last, but definitely not least - Elizabeth's AMAZING chalkboard skills!! AHH! We did several looks and "poses" with her board for their save-the-dates, but this is one of my faves :) Can't wait for 9-19-15!
