Six months of being friends before Taran asked Emily out — but that first date was very affirming, he knew she was absolutely someone very special. So special, that he knew soon after, spending the rest of his life with her, was it for him. Emily thought a proposal would maybe happen on a trip they took to Cancun...but Taran knew he wanted to surprise her beforehand, when she wouldn't be expecting it — three different wineries on a Sunday afternoon, just for fun — and at that third one, he took her down by the lake and proposed — having planned for all of their family to join them and surprise her again... She said yes, and maybe spilled wine all over them both in the process of jumping up and down, excited doesn't sum it up — for either of them!
