Intimate Backyard Wedding in Missouri // Samantha + Brenton

For Samantha and Brenton, these high school sweethearts, their wedding day came down to this property, this family home where Samantha’s precious grandparents Sue, and Jim reside. Their backyard, cozy and full of trees, overlooking a big pond set the stage and after pulling in some hay bales for seats, some decor here and there - it was perfect. Combine all that with the absolutely perfect weather these two were blessed with, the mild breeze and the calm nerves, this day was off to an impeccable start.

Tears first started when it was time for Samantha to see her Dad for the first time. And really, I feel like after that, the energy shifted. We were so close to ceremony time, and it was just in the air - that electric feeling.

As Samantha came down the back porch steps, as she met her Dad at the bottom, and held onto his arm, as the two walked across the grass toward Brenton - with Samantha’s Dad crying one second, giggling the next - everyone felt it.

Once Samantha and Brenton stood side by side, tears were flowing. They held hands, they shared tissues, they exchanged vows. And not just any vows - the kind of vows they wrote on their own. The kind of vows that made their hands shake and tears flow. Their officiant said words that sent goosebumps across the arms of everyone there to witness this moment, and practically everyone cried right along with these two souls.

To say this day was full of an air of magic would be a huge understatement. These two right here, they share something so wildly unique and special, and I couldn’t be happier for them!

Samantha’s maid of honor y’all…..was her sweet, precious, spunky Grandma Sue. And it was basically the most awesome thing I’ve ever seen!!!

….SO MUCH CRYING…………YES I WAS CRYING TOO shhh.

Oh yes - Samantha had TWO dresses you guys!! And for dress number two, a first look reveal with Brenton was definitely in order!

Ya know what else was totally in order? A quick photo of these two in front of Samantha’s grandparents home - where these two tied the knot in the backyard!!

And here they are - the grandparents who gave their granddaughter the most perfect location to marry her sweetheart - the original sweethearts, Sue and Jim!
