When asked by his long time best friend and officiant on his wedding day — what does marriage mean to you? Matt's answer was "Marriage means it's my one chance to love and care for Gabby, more than I ever have before, but not as much as I will tomorrow, for as long as we're both on this earth."

Same question tossed to Gabby and her answer had been "Marriage is choosing your best friend and better half and knowing that they choose you too. Each and every day, through all the ups and downs of life, you keep choosing each other."
