Outdoor Wedding with white and yellow decor at The Legacy // Katie + Matt
Katie and Matt exchanged letters just before they saw one another for the first time on their wedding day. Matt's letter to Katie came in a little plastic box and contained an accordion-style photo collage. The cover of said collage? Katie as a little girl in her favorite Halloween costume, a bat. Because in a world of princesses and fairies, this amazing gal wanted to be a bat. Undoubtedly something that made Matt fall in love with her even more once he learned of this story from her childhood.
Katie's letter to Matt brought tears to his eyes despite his efforts to keep them at bay.
And then the real magic happened — as Matt stood patiently waiting under a big tree, Katie walked quietly up behind him — he then turned around and saw her for the first time on what will always be, one of their greatest days together.
That magical and beautiful first look turned into portraits of these two as they finally got to hold on to each other on their wedding day. Followed by a magical outdoor ceremony with all their favorite people.
For a couple who've already covered over a decade together, it's beyond clear that all their decades to come will be even better. Absolutely adore these guys, the love they share that I was so honored to witness, and their wedding photos! These are some of my favorites from their day!
Matt’s letter and the photo collage could not have been more perfect — especially the photo he chose to put as the first one!! Little Katie as a kiddo, and the Halloween where she wanted to be a bat!
