Wedding Day at Abe and Jake's Landing | Lawrence, KS | Makayla + Curtis

They had just been announced as the new, Mr & Mrs, and everyone was cheering them on as they walked down the aisle and out of the building. They stepped outside on the back deck of Abe and Jake's in Lawrence KS. Hand in hand. Their adrenaline was pulsing as they made their way across the deck, down the stairs. Curtis helped Makayla hold her dress up as they crossed the squishy ground, and as they worked their way toward the edge of the great Kansas River. Once in position, it was time to document the fact that they JUST married one another. The very first set of shots that were fired, they got covered in mist coming off the river as the dam next door raged on....and neither of them blinked, it didn't phase them. And it didn't phase them because nothing else mattered in the world than that moment right there. And that moment said every single thing about Curtis and Makayla's day.

How, on this day, could anything else matter to these two? These two souls who have known each other since Kindergarten. Curtis, the boy her Mom didn't want her to date, and the boy who proved them all wrong. Makayla, the girl who stole his heart like no one else ever could... These two who took on the world together. And now, they'll continue to do the same, as husband and wife.
