Weston Missouri Wedding at Timber Barn // Tara + Travis

Like many father's of brides on their daughter's big day, Tara's Dad Mark had quite the speech prepared for the reception. With stories from different times in Tara's life, from the day she was born and the first time he held her, to her as a toddler, a kiddo, a teen, and an adult. He ended up getting a whole lot of laughs, and a few tears out of most everyone in the room. One story in particular though, was truly the one that said it all about Tara and her new husband, Travis.

Mark told the story that one evening, years ago, at a dinner between himself, his wife, Tara, Travis, her brother, and a few others... Tara sat and jokingly listed all the things that genetically speaking, she got from each of her parents, and how she essentially got the short end of the stick, ending up with the "worst" parts of each. When she finished rattling off her list, without skipping a beat, Travis turned to her and said "And yet you're perfect to me".

I'm going to guess in that moment, as a Dad, Mark knew his daughter had not only found the perfect guy for her, but found the one that would undoubtedly love her and love everything about her, for all the rest of their lives together. I'm also going to guess that knowledge made the act of walking her down the aisle, and handing her off to Travis at that beautiful outdoor ceremony, just a little bit easier to do.
