Winter Engagement Session in Kansas City // Sarah + Collin

So here's what's crazy — both Sarah and Collin grew up in Wichita KS but didn't know one another back then. Sarah drove past Collin's house over and over for years, and they never knew. Years later after that, they literally worked across the street from one another — and Sarah routinely popped into the restaurant that Collin was a manager at — and they never realized it. It's funny how the universe is always working, always orchestrating things, even when we don't realize it — just waiting for the perfect timing.

And that timing came — when years later still, they both were servers at another restaurant in downtown KC and finally, truly realized each other existed. Collin spent months attempting to become more than friends — Sarah didn't realize, then she invited herself to be his date to KC's BeerFest in 2018 — Collin had struck gold, in more ways than one. That first "date" was pretty solidifying for them both, things were realized quickly — deep and powerful things that led them to moving in together and ultimately led Collin to picking out a beautiful engagement ring and orchestrating a scavenger hunt at multiple places with hidden cards for Sarah to find — all leading her back to their first date location: Union Station, Kansas City... where she thought he was squatting down to retrieve the next card, tucked behind a corner... but in fact, he was pulling that gorgeous ring out of his pocket.
