A Downtown Kansas City Wedding Day // Laura + Blake

There are a lot of stories behind a wedding day. The story of the couple, the story of their families coming together, the story of the bride herself. For Laura, her story looked like her Mom helping her into her dress, hugging her, and them crying together. Laura went on to cry again when her Dad saw her for the first time. He cried too. They both laughed together, and hugged so many times you easily lost count.

Her sister added her veil to her updo in a quiet room by a big window, and though no tears flowed, their expressions were evident that the weight of that moment was clear to them both.

Later, Laura, on the loving and supportive arm of her sweet Dad, walked down a long aisle to a guy named Blake. The guy that years ago, she simply saw standing at a crosswalk in an area of downtown Kansas City - and took a chance at yelling at him through her open window. A truly serendipitous moment that led these two to where they are now.

Laura had moments of tears as she made her way through the special vows that were uniting her and her almost-husband, Blake. She squeezed Blake’s hand repeatedly. And in that moment she loved him more than all the times she’s loved him up to that very second.

Laura and her sweet Dad’s first look was one for the books, folks.

And thennnn! Blake surprised almost everyone by joining the band on stage!! To say that Laura morphed instantaneously into a mega-fan-girl would be an understatement. What a way to celebrate their evening!
