2021 // The Best of Weddings - Part Two!

Round two y’all!! Tried to split the wedding season straight down the middle between this post and the part one post — and yet I still ended up with, I’m pretty sure, way more photos in this one.. lol oy.

Mikaela + Collin

So here’s the deal with Mikaela and Collin’s wedding… it was kinda my dream wedding!? The style, the colors, the small wedding party, Mikaela’s wedding dress, the reception vibe, the venue… soooooo prettyyyy!! I tried super hard to narrow down a few faves, but that was impossible to do because I also LOVE Mikaela and Collin’s portraits — like, all of them... right after their emotional first look (and family prayer circle, my heart!!!!), after the ceremony, when they ate popsicles together (also, a dream!) and when we went back out for last-light-of-day photos!! Jodi + Lucas

Jodi and Lucas… andddddddd their ginger baby, cat, Mac!! Yessss okay, dream come true — a wedding with a cat!! lol. I love love love Jodi and Lucas so much, and them being fellow cat lovers and their desire to bring their cat with them on their wedding day, it really was a dream come true for me lol. Aside from that goodness was their awesome wedding party, their sweet ceremony and just the overall amazing day, it was all SO good!

Faith + Chandler

A venue I’m always so excited to shoot at, it’s such a gem! — The Sycamore Tree! Faith and Chandler had a stunning day and Faith was a stunning bride! The interior shot of these two lovebirds in that wide open space is one of my most favorites ever! I loveeee it!

Megan + Dan

Another show-stopping wedding!! Megan and Dan had a really beautiful day at The Grand Hall — such an iconic wedding venue here in Kansas City! This first shot of Meg walking down the stairs to Dan’s turned back… I’m obsessed!!! The overhead birdseye shots of them later on — you’ll see, they are some of my favorites ever too! It’s super fun when I have an opportunity to not only shoot somewhere new to me, but to also get a little more creative! OH and can we take a minute to discuss Megan and Dan’s serious faces?? Uhhh… wowza.

Regan + Gabe

So so loved the sweet sentimental and memorable moments of Regan getting ready with the help of her Mom and sister, so much love in that family! Love all the shots I shared from their day below — and well, all the other ones, but the prayer one during the ceremony, wow I love that one so much!

Ashlyn + Hunter

Few things beat a beautiful couple on a beautiful wedding day… and a field of wildflowers!!!! Before ya get to those though… that black + white shot of Ashlyn at the doorway, getting emotional at the overwhelm of it all.. love love love. Shots like that are a big part of why I love my job so much — that raw emotion just can’t be beat.

Lizzy + Britt

Such a memorable moment when the groom unexpectedly cries during the first look! Love their wide open field shots too — Weston Timber Barn has such awesome spots for those wide open epic shots like that and they never get old!

Julia + Dan

I was at Weston Timber Barn a lot in 2021, and I don’t mind it one bit!! Back again for Julia and Dan — and these guys had a verrrryyy beautiful Fall themed wedding. Everyone needs to slow down and really appreciate the color choices these guys made — in the florals, in the decor, in the bridesmaid (and bridesman!) attire!!

Katie + Adam

Backkk again? Deja vu!! haha — Katie picked a really really cute Airbnb to get ready in, and it was sooo cute with beautiful light! The way these two looked at one another during their ceremony… melted my heart. Oh and Katie’s sleeves…. absolutely stunning on her!

Kasey + Joey

Is your head spinning yet? Yep, I was back again at Weston Timber Barn lol. Kasey and Joey had a super fun wedding day and a really lively and awesome wedding party!

Natalie + Payton

Another beautiful fall wedding day — this time at another fave venue, The Legacy at Green Hills!! Natalie and Payton put so much thought into their wedding day and everything was seamless! I’m convinced that EVERY couple should rent a white bounce house on their big day haha

Sarah + Christian

Sarah and Christian are hands down so so laid back and their wedding day was no different — they lived in the moment and took each moment as it was!!

Lauren + Wayne

My first time The English Barn and it was for the fun couple, Lauren and Wayne!! These guys were up for anything and ready to just live it up on their big day — and they did just that!! That solo vertical black-and-white shot of these guys below is definitely one of my most fave shots ever!

Brynn + Jordan

I usually don’t take on December weddings, but I’m sooo glad I did with these guys!! Brynn and Jordan are easily one of the most fun couples I’ve ever met and their wedding day — though insanely cold, was nothing short of a blast! First time shooting at The Historic Post Office too, and it’s officially one of my favorite venues in the Midwest!! I couldn’t possibly narrow down fave photos from this amazing day, there were just so many I love!
