A White Iron Ridge Classic Wedding // Caroline + Ben

Many years ago, Caroline's parents said a quick and immediate NO when she wanted to go out on a date with Ben. It was simply that she wasn't old enough in their eyes. It was Caroline's Grandma who said "Ben is a nice boy, I think it would be okay, let her go out with him", so they did. And out these two went.

And now, April 15th, we were here. Caroline and Ben's wedding day. The two souls that Grandma saw so much promise in, well, they proved her right. And though she couldn't be physically there with them on this day, she was still there in so many different ways. Inside the pocket of Caroline's wedding dress, was the ivory covered Bible that belonged to her grandmother. Around Caroline's bouquet, was her grandmother's rosary. She was there in photos. In her honorary empty spot on the church pew. And in the toast that Caroline's Dad gave, was this whole story. Caroline's grandma got it right - and so did these two lovebirds.

In the toast given by Caroline’s matron of honor - she said that earlier last week she asked Caroline how she was feeling, and Caroline's response had been "A little nervous, about the wedding day, just hoping that everything goes smoothly. But I'm not nervous about the marriage." - that statement. Those words. That comes deep from within a person who simply KNOWS - and Caroline knows. Ben knows. And Grandma knew.
