A Country Home in Kansas, Engagement Session // Laura + Blake
You drive for miles on this old gravel road, nothing but farm land on either side of your car. Small town Kansas, population under 7,000. You glance in your mirrors at the dust you're kicking up and you just know that you're going to end up somewhere good. Their driveway, lined with trees, and an old, perfectly rusty grain bin meets you as you drive up to the house - a house that no matter where life takes Laura and Blake, will always always be so special to them.
Blake bought this house with the intention of remodeling it, top to bottom, inside and out and during some renovations the week before Thanksgiving, he lead Laura there one evening under the premise of needing her to look at some of the work he had done. Unsuspecting Laura walked in ready and prepared to say yes/no/maybe to floor samples, paint swatches, counter top options etc - but instead, found candles glowing all around, and Blake nowhere to be found. When he came around the corner - a precious new puppy in his arms and a ring box in his hand - Laura knew what it had all actually been about.
My overall opinion of these two - aside from the incredible bond they so clearly share, and the undeniable love they have for another....is that being around them, witnessing all that they are together, is like staring at the sun, for a little too long....but you just can't even look away.
Simply stating I'm excited for their October wedding would be the understatement of the year!!
OH AND.....we did a few shots inside Laura and Blake's home - their perfect white kitchen, complete with red wine :) OH my stars, these two are beyond cute together!
Did I mention these lovebirds have two super cute dogs!? Meet little Oliver, and also...meet Posey the lab - given to Laura the evening Blake proposed (Posey...proposed...proposal.... get it?? <heart eyes>).
I CANNOT
Absolutely can't wait for these guys to tie the knot in October!!
