Adventurous Engagement Photography in the Midwest // Korie + Zack
Tuesday’s at the movie theater means half-off on popcorn and drinks, and Zack loves a deal, Korie told me. Off they went for a Tuesday movie date, the usual, nothing out of the ordinary, except that Zack was adamant about getting there early — and yet, that didn’t tip Korie off at all.
They found their seats in an empty theater and then Zack said he was going to go and get that rewarding half-off popcorn and drink! He left, and Korie sat alone as just a couple more people filtered in. The previews started up, the lights dimmed, the screen lit up. All at once Korie realized that what she was seeing on the screen wasn’t a preview for the newest upcoming movie at all….but it was pictures. Pictures of her and Zack together over the years….a full on slideshow of their memories in a public movie theater.
What was happening she was wondering — she began looking all around for Zack and suddenly there he was — walking back in, a huge grin on his face, a fast beating heart in his chest, and a ring box in his hands.
They’ll skip off to Colorado for a small, intimate wedding, and then skip their way back to Kansas City for what will be a bigger, more “traditional” wedding as their family and friends all join in and celebrate. And I can’t even wait!
